Detailed Odds Calculation

Turnover of Winning Trainer will be merged into the Win pool to ensure liquidity. Each Winning Trainer bet will be split into the Win bets of all horses in the composite, based on a reverse ratio of their respective Win odds.

Example:

Consider a 12-horse race with $100,000 Win wagers and $3,430 Winning Trainer wagers included in the pool as follows:

  • $1,490 on "J Size" (B1: 1, 3, 9)
  • $1,100 on "A S Cruz" (B2: 4, 5, 7)
  • $520 on "D J Whyte" (B3: 2, 10)
  • $320 on "Others" (B4: 6, 8, 11, 12)

The investment weight for each of the Winning Trainer bets is adjusted in order to give a consistent payout. No matter which horse within the composite actually wins, the payout will be the same.

J Size (B1: 1, 3, 9)

A S Cruz (B2: 4, 5, 7)

D J Whyte (B3: 2,10)

Others (B4: 6, 8, 11, 12)

^ Odds in the above example are net of 17.5% take-out
