Detailed Odds Calculation

Turnover of Winning Region will be merged into the Win pool to ensure liquidity. Each Winning Region bet will be split into the Win bets of all horses in the composite, based on a reverse ratio of their respective Win odds.

Example:

Consider a 12-horse race with $100,000 Win wagers and $5,000 Winning Region wagers included in the pool as follows:

  • $1,700 on "Hong Kong" (C1: 2, 3, 7, 8, 9)
  • $1,560 on "Japan" (C2: 1, 10)
  • $1,340 on "Europe" (C3: 4, 5, 12)
  • $400 on "Others" (C4: 6, 11)

The investment weight for each of the Winning Region bet is adjusted in order to give a consistent payout. No matter which horse within the composite actually wins, the payout will be the same.

Hong Kong (C1: 2, 3, 7, 8, 9)

Japan (C2: 1, 10)

Europe (C3: 4, 5, 12)

Others (C4: 6, 11)

^ Odds in the above example are net of 17.5% take-out
