Since 2014, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has partnered with Manchester United and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals to introduce the JC Youth Football Leadership Scheme (the Scheme) to nurture and inspire football-loving youngsters, equipping them to become leaders in creating a better community. The Scheme is supported this year by donations from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.
Through football event organisation workshops led by the Manchester United Soccer Schools’ coach and a series of thematic workshops conducted by professional instructors, the Scheme aims to strengthen the leadership skills of youths by enhancing their physical, mental and social abilities, both on and off the pitch.
Since 2013, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has partnered with Manchester United to bring the JC School Football Development Scheme (the Scheme) to local kindergartens, primary, secondary and tertiary schools, which is supported this year by donations from its Charities Trust to Tung Wah Group of Hospitals for programme operations.
The Scheme aims to develop the potential of teachers and coaches by introducing a training model based on inspiration and encouragement, helping young players develop their physical, mental and social skills as well as put their Best Foot Forward.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club has been actively promoting local football development in close collaboration with the Football Association of Hong Kong, China for many years. To date, the Club has provided over HK$221 million in approved donations to support football-related projects to the HKFA.
