JC School Football Development Scheme
Since 2013, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has partnered with Manchester United to bring the JC School Football Development Scheme (the Scheme) to local schools, developing the potential of Hong Kong youth through football. The Scheme is now supported by donation from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to Tung Wah Group of Hospitals for programme operation.
Participating school teachers and coaches can experience a professional football training model through specialised training. Outstanding participants from primary and secondary schools will also have the opportunity to interact with the Manchester United team and local community football coaches during the exchange tour in Manchester, UK.
Scheme Details
Since 2013, the Scheme has attracted over 230 kindergartens, primary, secondary schools, and tertiary institutions to participate, providing football training and mentoring to more than 8,000 teachers, coaches, students, and parents.
Continuous Development to Break Limits
Our structured football training programme helps teachers and coaches explore new horizons in football coaching, and establish a unique football culture specific to their schools. Outstanding participants from primary and secondary schools will have the opportunity to experience Manchester United training model during the exchange tour in the UK.
Happy Football to Connect Community
Our Scheme encompasses a variety of on-campus and off-campus activities, to connect teachers, students and parents and bring our community together through planting the seed of "happy football" culture.
