Terms and Conditions
By submitting this application, the applicant is deemed to have understood and agreed to comply with these terms and conditions:
The participant shall be aged 15 to 19 at the time of application.
If a participant is under the age of 18 at the time of application, the application must be submitted by the participant’s parent or guardian.
A maximum of 60 participants will be admitted to the JC Youth Football Leadership Scheme (the "Event"). Participants will be selected upon an interview by The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”). The final participation list will be decided by the Club and the decision of the Club shall be final.
The application deadline is 29 November 2026. Late applications will not be considered. The Club shall not be liable for any delay or failure in submitting or transmitting an application due to any network, system, equipment or security failure or other circumstances beyond the Club’s control.
Photographs and videos may be taken during the Event and used by the Club or Tung Wah Group of Hospitals in any form or media for promotional purposes. Participants may be identifiable in such photographs or videos.
All personal data will only be used for the purposes of this application and the Event. Each applicant and participant confirms that he/she has read and understood the Club’s Privacy Policy Statement (which is available at www.hkjc.com/english/corporate/corp_privacy.asp ), and agrees that the Club may use and otherwise handle the personal data of the applicant and participant in accordance with the Club’s Privacy Policy Statement. Where the applicant provides personal data of a participant, the applicant confirms that he/she is duly authorised to provide such personal data to the Club for such purposes.
The applicant shall be responsible for ensuring that the participant is in a suitable state of health and physical condition to participate in the Event, including having the physical fitness and ability required to participate in its activities.
The applicant understands that participation in the Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to risks associated with football-related activities and water sports.
Participants should attend all the activities according to the event calendar (PDF, 186KB) . The Club may change the event calendar from time to time.
Participants shall wear any clothing and gear and arrange for any necessary safety gear and equipment, as required by the Club.
Participants must strictly follow all instructions and guidelines given by the coaches and/or programme helpers, particularly those relating to safety. Participants take part in the Event at their own risk and must conduct themselves in a sensible and responsible manner.
Each participant shall comply with all applicable laws and regulations, directives, policies and protocols imposed by any government agencies or the Club from time to time (including but not limited to laws and regulations relating to public health, public order and national security).
To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Hong Kong, the Club shall not be liable for any loss of or damage to property, or any injury or death sustained by any participant or third party, arising out of or in connection with the Event. Each participant shall indemnify the Club, and its officers, employees and agents against any claim brought by any participant or third party for loss, damage, injury or death caused by any act or omission of such participant arising out of or in connection with the Event.
These Terms and Conditions are not enforceable by any party other than the applicant accepted in the event and the Club, and these Terms and Conditions shall be excluded from the application of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623).
The Club reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Event, or alter its format, schedule or arrangement for any reason without prior notice or compensation.
In case of any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Event, the decision of the Club shall be final.
These terms and conditions are drafted in English and translated into Chinese. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the English version shall prevail.
