The Club also rewards the winners of today and supports the champions of tomorrow. We believe that successes should be recognised and incentivised, as they help strengthen the spirit and ambition of athletes. We are delighted to support the Hong Kong Sport Institute by sponsoring the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme, expanding the scope by providing cash incentives for Hong Kong, China medallists at the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Asian Games, Asian Para Games, FISU World University Games, National Games and National Para Games, as well as their respective winter Games. Cash rewards will also be awarded to athletes finishing in fourth to eighth places in the Olympics and Paralympics in recognition of their achievements.
This support for elite athletes builds on the Club’s many decades of backing sporting excellence in Hong Kong, dating back to the 1970s development of the Hong Kong Sports Institute. Hong Kong’s elite athletes are certain to give the community many more great stories and achievements at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The Club is proud to stand together with them as they do so.
