Since 2012, The Hong Kong Jockey Club has partnered with Tung Wah Group of Hospitals to introduce the JC Junior Sports Reporters Programme, which is supported this year by donations from its Charities Trust.
This community initiative is your gateway to unlocking new possibilities and enhancing your communication and presentation skills. Over 70 graduates from the programme have successfully launched their careers in media or sports-related industries. By participating, you will be able to explore what it takes to become a sports journalist.
Applications are now open! The first 100 applicants will receive two free tickets to the JC Sapling Cup match on 15 December 2024, where Kowloon City will compete against Lee Man. This match offers a fantastic opportunity to gain deeper insights as a sports reporter and prepare for future field practices.

JC Junior Sports Reporters Programme is an action-packed adventure that will provide you with a firsthand experience in sports reporting.
Young people aged 17-25 will receive basic journalism training and develop skills such as commentary, programme hosting, photography, videography, video editing and more from industry professionals during the 6-month programme. Brace yourself for interactive sessions led by seasoned media professionals who will share their expert tips and tricks.
Through this hands-on learning curriculum, participants will not only gain foundational knowledge in sports journalism, but also sharpen your language expression and communication skills. Field practices in the programme will help cultivate a sense of responsibility and a positive attitude toward work.
