Event Details

To celebrate the Year of the Dragon, The Hong Kong Jockey Club shares happiness with the community by participating in the International Chinese New Year Night Parade on the first day of the Chinese New Year (10 Feb). The Club’s “Blooming with You!” float comprises galloping horses crafted from flowers, with energetic drumbeats and dynamic animations inspired by Chinese geometric patterns and illuminations. Together with a spectacular performance fueled by a troupe of dancers, drummers and lion dancers, it brings vibrancy and vitality and encapsulates the Club’s commitment to progressing together with Hong Kong.

Following the Parade, the float goes on display at the Chinese New Year Raceday at Sha Tin Racecourse on the third day of the Chinese New Year (12 Feb).

Event Highlights

Local rapper and musician Dough-Boy is invited to compose the Parade music this year, bringing beats which fuse tradition and modernisation.

Accompanying the Parade, Jacqueline Siu (HKJC Equestrian Team member and individual dressage silver medallist for Hong Kong, China at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou) and Angus Chung (HKJC’s Apprentice Jockey) shares Chinese New Year greetings with the public.

The “Progressing Together Cheering Team” performs in the Parade, sharing joy and happiness with everyone along the route.

The float goes on display at the Chinese New Year Raceday at Sha Tin Racecourse on the third day of the Chinese New Year (12 Feb).
