The inaugural HKJC Community Cup 3 on 3 Basketball Championship is jointly organised by The Hong Kong Jockey Club and the Eastern Sports Club, in collaboration with the HKJC Junior Sports Reporters Programme.  The two-day event will be the first community basketball tournament held at Sha Tin Racecourse Sports Ground since its opening to public use in 2021. Twelve male teams and eight female teams from universities and post-secondary institutes will compete for the Cup, Bowl and Plate titles. 3 on 3 is a fast rising format of basketball that has been included as a medal event at the Olympic Games and the Asian Games. By organising this championship, The Hong Kong Jockey Club aims at promoting the reach of this up-and-coming sport to a wider community as another reflection of its commitment to act continuously for the betterment of society.
