Sports Event Details

Volleyball Nations League Hong Kong presented by China Life (Overseas) is an annual mega sports event featuring top international volleyball teams. Six world-class teams will be playing a total of 12 matches, competing across 18 - 22 June at the Kai Tak Arena.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is committed to inspiring people of all ages through community sports. As the Official Community Partner of Volleyball Nations League Hong Kong, over 17,000 people participated and experienced the excitement of this major international tournament, all as part of the Club’s aim to encourage sports for all.

Among the Jockey Club Community Volleyball Programmes is the popular “In Touch with the China Volleyball National Team” event, specifically organised for students and individuals with disabilities to meet and learn from the National Team. Former team members will also visit local communities to share their experiences and promote volleyball.

In addition, the “Watch and Listen Volleyball Game” programme will invite students and underprivileged families to attend the event. Visually impaired individuals can also engage in sports and enjoy the matches in-person through audio-description services.

The programmes will also extend invitations to schools and community organisations to manage “Six International Sports Booth”, a country-themed game booth during the tournament, with the aim of promoting sports for all and enhancing public interest in volleyball. A new addition this year is the “Performance for Physically Challenged” which includes wheelchair dancing and other activities that foster inclusion. Student cheerleaders will support the teams, showcasing Hong Kong’s vibrant youth spirit.

Following the matches, ‘Enjoy Sitting Volleyball 'As One'’, a series of sitting volleyball activities will be held to promote disability inclusion, encouraging individuals of all abilities to participate in sports and enjoy volleyball.
