Here comes the magic spell! Hong Kong Ballet’s Septime Webre crafts a new production of Cinderella, based on an original concept and script for Ballet Classics for Children: Cinderella by Yuri Ng and Rick Lau with director Ata Wong to reinterpret a classic fairy tale! With Lucas Yung as narrator and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta performing Sergei Prokofiev’s well-loved music under the baton of Yip Wing-sie, how does the benevolent fairy godmother get Cinderella to the palace to attend the ball? What about the comical stepmother and stepsisters? The fun-loving show is an occasion for everyone to share a laugh at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Grand Theatre as we ride the emotional and magical rollercoaster with Cinderella!

Renowned musician Chiu Tsang-hei doubles as curator and guide for performers from various age groups and professional backgrounds, among them Jo Koo and family, singer-prodigy Celine Tam and internet influencer Manting Chan! Gigi Leung also lends her star power in writing and recording songs in this show incorporating hi-tech stage effects, providing a feast for our eyes and ears. In this conducive setting, adults and children let their imagination roam free, asking questions and answering them in a carnival of songs.
Based on the children’s book Dot and the Kangaroo, Creature is an immersive and interactive installation reimagining natural Australian habitats and animals unique to that environment, where visitors young and old can discover the living creatures therein. A guide takes us along, opening our senses and extending our imagination as we climb onto stars and moons, watching kangaroos as they bound, listening to crickets chirp and frogs croak. You’ll learn about the natural environment through your eyes and ears as well as physical contact.
