The Hong Kong Jockey Club turns 140 years old this year, and it's an occasion to celebrate – not simply how we have evolved and developed over the decades, but more importantly, how we
have grown together with Hong Kong, the city we call home, and the people in the community who continue to inspire
us.
The Club has been woven into the fabric of Hong Kong since 1884, when the Fragrant Harbour looked very different from how it appears today. We were here when Hongkongers first fell in
love with horse racing and decided to take the first steps towards making the city an equine world capital. It is the reason
that we established the Club's unique integrated business model that would enable us to channel the city's wagering demand
towards good causes.
The stories and news we highlight here are centred on inspiring people in the city, and we are arranging a host of
exciting activities in the coming months, along with an interactive experience online, to underline how our focus is and always will
be on the city and its people.
