The Apprentice Jockeys' School has two campuses, one in the scenic Beas River Country Club in Sheung Shui and the other at Sha Tin Racecourse. There is also a Racing Talent Development Stable which helps apprentice jockeys to better prepare themselves for working at a racing stable.
Beas River Apprentice Jockeys' School (BRAJS)
BRAJS provides accommodations for the trainees, as well as classrooms, computer rooms, gymnasium and other facilities. Besides, the school also has a stable, which provides colts and retired horses for trainees to learn basic riding skills.
Sha Tin Apprentice Jockeys' School (STAJS)
Sha Tin Apprentice Jockeys' School locates inside the Sha Tin Racecourse. After completing the first-year training in the BRAJS, talented trainees will be arranged to STAJS for further training. Apart from accommodations, the school also has classrooms, computer rooms, mechanical horses and wooden horses for trainees to use for practices.
Racing Talent Development Stables (RTDS)
Racing Talent Development Stable is at Sha Tin Racecourse. It simulates the environment of a racing stable. There are 12 boxes, a feed room, a gear room and a multi-purpose classroom. Trainees can learn all basic tasks about caring of horses, and apply their knowledge at this Stable.
Online Training System
For the students' convenience, the content of the Certificate Courses have been put online. The system is easy to use. The courses' content has a very clear structure, which was divided into modules, elements and criteria. The courses are also in bilingual, which users can choose their preferences through the User Settings. In every criterion, there are diagrams, photos and videos, so as to keep up students' interest, and also assessments to let students know their progress. The Online Training System has provided comfortable and flexible learning for students. Besides, there is a students management system, which the students' learning progress, results, information etc. are all centralized clearly and in order.

The Racing Development Board strives to establish a best training system that meets the diverse needs of the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), and to deliver training programmes to our staff that enable them to operate at a standard that exceeds accepted industry requirements.
